I shelved this book today (#2) at the library. I found it profound that "Hard Times" came after I "Great Expectations". Maybe its a refection of my state of mind.
Four gave and Four got but when the four who got forgot the four who gave, they swore they would never forgive those four and that those four would never get such a gain again. But when the four who got gave gifts to the four who gave, (thus making the four who gave the four who got and the for who got the four who gave), the four who finally got forgave the four who formerly forgot. Then the eight went out and ate. In short, 4 gave, 4 got & forgot, 4 didn't forgive, finally 4 gave, 4 got & forgave. And all eight ate. The End.
